Oregon FFA and Les Schwab Are Working Together To #DriveAwayHunger

Many Oregonians today are suffering from food insecurity and worry about where their next meal may come from. Since 2008, the Oregon Food Bank has seen the demand for emergency food boxes increase by 44 percent. During the month of October, the Oregon FFA and Les Schwab Tires have teamed up to #DriveAwayHunger. Through the month of October, please keep a look out for FFA chapters in your area holding activities to raise as much food and funds as possible. Non-perishable food donations may be dropped off to Les Schwab, Wilco, or Grange Co-op Stores, or to your local FFA chapter. If you have questions or interest in making a crop donation, please contact Christa Towery with the Oregon FFA Foundation at ctowery@oregonffa.com.
During last year’s Hunger Initiative we were able to raise 388,299 meals! We are hopeful we are able to exceed that number this year.
