As I wrap up this year’s leadership tour and look ahead to the excitement of State Convention, I can’t help but reflect on the miles traveled, the hands shaken, and the chapters visited across our incredible state.

From small rural communities to larger programs, each stop along the way had its own personality, its own strengths, and its own story. No two chapters looked exactly the same — and that’s the beauty of FFA. Different schools. Different advisors. Different traditions. Different dreams.

But through all that diversity, every single chapter had one thing in common:

Passion.

Passion for agriculture.

Passion for growth.

Passion for something bigger than themselves.

In every classroom I walked into, I saw members who cared — about their Supervised Agricultural Experiences, about their Career Development Events, about serving their communities, and about building something that will last beyond their time in the blue jacket.

I saw advisors pouring their hearts into their students. I saw officers stepping up to lead, even when it was uncomfortable. I saw members trying something new, speaking for the first time, or daring to believe they could achieve more.

That’s what makes our organization so powerful. It’s not just about contests, conventions, or corduroy jackets. It’s about transformation. It’s about discovering potential. It’s about finding confidence.

As we head into State Convention, I want to remind you that convention isn’t just a celebration of accomplishments — it’s a celebration of people. The late nights. The early mornings. The practices. The setbacks. The growth.

Convention is where we reconnect. Where we recognize excellence. Where we challenge ourselves to dream even bigger for the year ahead.

To every chapter I visited: thank you. Thank you for welcoming me into your schools, for sharing your stories, and for reminding us why we do this work.

The leadership tour may have ended, but the impact is just beginning.

See you at State Convention.
